Attack of the Squarebot

This week we hope to get further along with our SolidWorks assembly by dividing up different parts. Our robot is working, but somehow the controls were inverted. If this becomes a problem in the future we will try to figure it out, but for now it seems okay. 

Brains of the Operation

Mr. Martin told us we had to find a creative way to attach the brain and create a battery holder as well. We put the brain on the top and are working on bending these metal pieces to use for the battery. We also started our Solidworks assembly. 

Blog Fog

Finalizing our blogs might be our setback this week. Although we don't have a lot to finish with our robot, we now might not finish until Wednesday. None of our bios were finished, and all of our posts needed work. We also have to finish our Solid works assembly by this week as well. 

Nuts about Building

We got our chassis rails and bumper completely assembled along with the motor,and have added the 36 tooth gears as well the 60 tooth gears. All that is left is securing the panel and adding the tires. We had some misplaced screws but we fixed them. We will resume assembling on Monday and will hopefully be done by Tuesday.

Collective Objective

Goals for the week:

This week we plan to finish taking apart the robot and organize the parts we need from it. The wooden robot carts were also taken apart. We will start building the square bot this week, and plan to be halfway done by Friday.
